Congratulations to our Texas Water Utilities team for their outstanding first place win at the Texas American Water Works Association’s Top Ops Competition!

Team members Jesse Donelson, Angela Hicks, and Tommy Posey received a trophy, along with the traveling Top Ops plaque. The team is set to compete at the AWWA Annual Conference in Denver this June.

The AWWA Top Ops Competition celebrates excellence and professionalism in water operations, providing operators with a platform to showcase their skills. This competitive, question-and-answer tournament challenges teams with a wide range of technical questions. Strategy plays a key role in winning as points are awarded for correct answers, deducted for incorrect ones, and remain unchanged for unanswered questions.

Winners receive a team trophy, in addition to a traveling plaque engraved with the name of Top Ops winners. The traveling plaque will be returned to the Top Ops competition organizers next year and passed along to the next winning team.

Good luck to the team as they move on to the national competition!
