Utility Operations

Our Field Operations team members work to ensure our water and wastewater infrastructure meets the needs of our communities. If you’re dedicated to the safety of others, and have a strong work ethic, our Field Operations positions may be right for you. Here are just a few of the roles that make up our Field Operations team.

  • Field Technicians perform routine treatment systems checks and maintenance. They’re responsible for complying with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Wastewater Operators operate sewage treatment, sludge processing, and disposal equipment in wastewater treatment plants to control flow and processing of sewage.

  • Utility Operators perform construction activities to repair water systems. They service and install water meters. Through increasing job proficiency and training, they learn to operate valve trucks, operate heavy equipment, and coordinate and work with contractors.

  • Maintenance Technicians maintain, repair, or replace mechanical equipment in place at water and wastewater facilities. They inspect equipment and ensure everything is up to date.

  • Production and System Operators provide high quality water supply to meet customer demands while minimizing production costs. Activities include monitoring the SCADA system, controlling wells, pumps, and valves to control reservoir levels.

Customer Care

Our customers are the heart of what we do. Our mission is to make sure they have safe, clean water every day. As a member of our Customer Care team, you will be our direct link to them. Our team members communicate with our customers to answer questions, receive payments, and address concerns by phone, email, and in person at our offices.

Engineering

The Engineering team helps our customers receive safe and reliable wastewater services. To do this, we assist with short- and long-range planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities such as plants and pipelines. Our Engineering teams also include specialists in GIS, construction, procurement and contracts, and asset management.

Our team also helps our company grow. We work with our corporate development team to identify how to provide water and wastewater services to new areas to serve our nation’s growing population, even when resources are constrained. We negotiate with outside developers and ensure that all of our new business activities conform to applicable rules and regulations.

Information Technology

Our IT department is dedicated to implementing our vision as a Digital Utility. Through both Information and Operational Technology, we take pride in deploying effective and secure solutions that are customer- and market-facing, internal business-facing, and building platform capability to support organic and inorganic growth.

Finance & Accounting

We’re focused on growth over the long term, not simply quarterly results. Our long-term views allow for strategic thinking throughout the organization, from account reconciliations to financial modeling. As a member of the Accounting and Finance teams you’ll help keep the company on track to meet its expansion and growth goals.

The Regulatory team is essential in representing the organization to regulatory commissions and agencies. We work closely with functions such as Accounting, Finance, Operations, Engineering and Human Resources to prepare regulatory filings. Roles in our team require extensive and detailed analysis, sound judgment, and effective communication. Our goal is to ensure timeliness and compliance with state and federal regulations.
