Suburban Water Systems Completes Tank & Electrical Replacement Project

May 4, 2026

Suburban Water Systems of California marked a key milestone on Thursday, May 4th, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the completion of the Plant 128 Tank & Electrical Replacement Project.

This investment replaces a nearly 100-year-old concrete tank with a modern steel structure, improving system reliability and long-term resilience. The project also includes an upgraded electrical system with a backup generator, helping ensure continuous operations during power outages.

These enhancements support Suburban’s ongoing commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and dependable water service to customers in Hacienda Heights and La Puente. Suburban thanks LA County Supervisor Hilda Solis, City of La Puente Mayor Charlie Klinakis, President Craig Gott, and Vice President, Engineering Jorge Lopez for their leadership and words spoken at the Ribbon Cutting highlighting the significance of this community project for generations to come. Special thanks to our Engineering, Operations, Water Quality, and Production teams, and project partners for their collaboration and dedication in bringing this important project to completion.
