We’re proud to share that Chad Eggers, Field Technician III with Carolina Water Service of North Carolina (CWSNC) is the recipient of the prestigious 2025 Living Water Award presented by the National Association of Water Companies (NAWC)—a top honor in our industry.

The Living Water Award celebrates individuals who exemplify commitment to their company, colleagues, community, and the environment. Chad’s story is a powerful reflection of those values.

One year ago, Hurricane Helene devastated Western N.C., triggering a landslide that destroyed Chad’s newly built family home and all of their possessions. Despite this unimaginable personal loss, Chad reported to work as soon as it was safe to do so, living out Nexus’ motto: “We’ve got this!”

In the days and months that followed, Chad and his teammates played a critical role in restoring essential water and wastewater services to rural communities. In Chad’s award nomination, CEO Rob MacLean said, “Chad is down to earth, hardworking, and always ready to lend a hand. He understood the vital role he and Nexus had in the community’s recovery. His dedication, compassion, and quiet strength are just a few of the qualities that define him.”

Please join us in congratulating Chad on this well-deserved recognition!
